Arthur Jackson & Co Ltd is a manufacturer of high precision patterns, dyes and other types of tooling in metal, resin and wood. Established over 70 years ago, the company has always invested in leading edge manufacturing technology. The company is committed to working with its customers to achieve, high quality cost effective tooling that will give the best results. CAD

The company has invested heavily in the CAD department through training, software and hardware. The CAD offices handles data from all major design software packages and prepares it for download to one of the FOURTEEN CNC machining centres.

CAM

All FOURTEEN of the machining centres have tool changes with twenty-one tools which allows night time lights out production. The machines come in a variety of sizes from small with XYZ of 700 x 500 x 500 to large capacity machines with XYZ of 2000 x 1000 x 1000 and with spindle speeds up to 40,000 RPM. We can machine a wide range of materials, from soft model board to the hardest tool steel and all to extremely close tolerances.

Quality Systems

At the heart of our quality system is our ISO 9000:2015 accreditation. This is combined with our range of expertise, our extensive design and manufacturing capabilities, and our on-going programme of investment in the latest production technology.

CMM Inspection

Our climate controlled measuring room has facilities including a Mitutoyo coordinate measuring machine, having the ability to measure to 0.001mm and the ability to compare finished tooling to the original CAD model.

Rapid Prototyping

Working with our customers on short lead times we can design and manufacture off process tooling using high grade resins or aluminium.

High Volume Tooling

Working with some of the best known worldwide brands we manufacture tooling to the highest levels of quality. We work with our customers on projects in automotive, rail, construction, off shore oil and gas, renewable power generation, nuclear power and defence.

Pulp Tooling

The company has being supplying pulp tooling to customers all over the world in the last ten years. From prototype or low volume tooling in resin, to production, ultra high volume tooling using stainless steel.

With a full design and manufacture service for tooling and after sales service with gauzes. We also offer a consultancy service to advise with process control and all aspects of manufacturing.

Lost Wax Tooling / Investment Casting

High accurate tooling for lost wax or investment castings is  made in our newly constructed facility .  A new CNC machine centre with Nikon 4th axis machining is available. The room is air conditioned to control temperature and humidity and to help chase those microns. CAD and CAM, station linked with CMM inspection with deviation from CAD software is on hand.

Wood Patterns

Manufacturing of wood foundry patterns is where the company started over seventy years ago.  We make patterns by hand, or with a combination of CNC and hand craft for smaller volume requirements.  From small tools up to a patter made recently for the nuclear industry that weighed in at 29,000KG

Large Aluminium Tooling

We make a wide selection of fully CNC aluminium tooling, most frequently used in the casting of polyurethane resins.  With a full design service we have delivered tools up to 2000 mm long and up to 2500 KG is weight.
